Seonghwa: to become a star
I first created this account to share my love for Seonghwa through updates of the pictures and videos he posted.Then, as time went on and private chats became available, I started translating those with the intent to build a space where everyone could have an easier access to what he wanted to communicate to ATINYs.A disclaimer, therefore, is in order: I am a professional translator and interpreter, even if not directly from the Korean language.
I've always said that my main aim is to offer a more contextual translation, even if slightly better than the automatic one offered by Fromm and now to make his Toktoq lives easier to understand for everyone.That is to say, my translations are rough and not intended to be taken as perfect or even the most accurate at times.
Since translation is a very personal and interpretation-oriented process to begin with, mistranslations can be produced even when not intentional and especially when dealing with a language you haven't mastered.
Still, I am learning so much from this experience and I will keep striving to improve, so I hope you will understand where I'm coming from.That said, I will always do my best not to mistranslate Seonghwa's words and to swiftly correct myself if it were to happen.My DMs are always open for any questions, but please remember to always be kind.
